Experience

I have taught for over four years, from elementary up to through tenth grade, and have tutored up to the graduate school level. Teaching in a range of subject areas, I can tutor math, Spanish, reading, writing, history, economics, psychology, languages, social studies, public speaking, and various parts of the GED, GMAT, LSAT, and SAT exams. I have taught for two out of my four years in Nicaragua, where I taught science (in Spanish) in primary schools while a volunteer with the Peace Corps. I also taught biology, physical science, and chemistry for one year in Managua, the capital, at Nicaragua's most elite prep school. My education has been very successful. I attended Carleton College, a leading liberal arts school, and graduated cum laude with a biochemistry and biology degree. At the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill, I worked at a preclinical molecular neuropharmacology research laboratory for two years. I also attended Thunderbird School of Global Management, where I earned an MBA, concentrating in international finance, and graduated with honors.Now living in Glendale, Arizona, I can tutor any local student. Science is one of my greatest interests but I also like politics, distance running, squash, and racquetball.
