I'm working on bachelor's degrees in English and Art at Hillsdale College in Michigan. My primary focus as a tutor has been with middle school students, and I've really enjoyed working with that age group. We meet several times each week, and my students have made progress in both their understanding of the material and in their test scores.I've learned that each student works at his or her own pace in his or her own learning style, and so I design my lessons with those things in mind. I believe that I provide my students with a friendly, encouraging, supportive learning environment. I can help my students with a wide range of subjects, including elementary school math, middle school math, reading, writing, essay editing, literature, English, grammar and mechanics, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, social studies, public speaking, American history, European history, Latin, art, AP Studio Art: 2-D Design, AP Studio Art: 3-D Design, AP Studio Art: Drawing, IB Visual Arts HL, and IB Visual Arts SL.When I'm not tutoring my students, I enjoy playing soccer and football, reading, playing with my dog, making art, listening to music, and discovering new things about downtown Phoenix.
