When it comes to teaching and tutoring, experience counts. I have been an educator for the last twenty years, and in that time I have learned a thing or two about how to help students succeed! I know, for example, that each student has their own learning style and that a tutor must use a variety of instructional methods if any progress is to be made. With my bachelor's degree in Psychology and my master's degree in Special Education from the University of Arizona, I am well-versed in tactics and strategies for working with a wide variety of students.I am prepared to tutor Math, Reading, Writing, Psychology, Grammar, History, Social Studies, and Spanish. I speak Spanish fluently and even spent two months in Mexico while working on my master's degree. As a non-native speaker, I know the ins and outs of learning the language and can help with difficulties that a native speaker might miss entirely. I enjoy sports immensely. Basketball, football, and baseball are my favorites. I also like to spend time catching up on my favorite authors' newest works.
