Experience
I am a tutor with extensive math teaching experience. I can tutor students in pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, calculus, and other math subjects. I received my degree in Communications from the University of Colorado before going on to earn my master's in Secondary Mathematics Education. I'm also designated as a highly qualified teacher on my teaching certificate for the state of Arizona. I have been working with students for nearly two decades as a math teacher. I've taught lower level math courses like pre-algebra up through higher level classes like calculus. I have also had the privilege of working with students as a cheer coach for several years now. As a tutor I am able to take complex mathematical concepts and principles and simplify them in a way that makes them easier for my students to understand. I understand that every student is unique. We all have different learning styles. That is why I tailor my approach to the individual needs of each of the students that I work with. I want all of my students to achieve success and develop confidence in their abilities as a learner. When I am not teaching or coaching cheer I enjoy traveling the world.
