Experience

I attended Sarah Lawrence College in New York, where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts. After receiving my undergraduate degree, I went to the United Kingdom and studied as a research student at Oxford University. I am in the process of applying to graduate school to receive my degree in International Development and Policy. I have many years of experience as a tutor in Phoenix, Arizona, and New York City. I love the written word, and passing on that same passion to my students. I believe that loving to write is something everyone can take part in, and I strive to teach children about the craft of writing and teach them to love it along the way. My hometown near Phoenix, Arizona, but I have traveled widely and have spent time living in England, Saudi Arabia, and Alaska. I enjoy yoga and hiking, and I am a voracious reader. I am qualified to tutor in a number of English subjects, such as SAT Writing, Essay Writing, English Literature, Phonics, American History, World History, and AP English. I also can teach standardized test preparation and study skills.
